His leadership excellence caught the attention of the U.S. Government, which selected him to represent Nigeria in the International Visitor Leadership Program—culminating in an International Leadership Certificate from the U.S. Department of State. In March 2010, Pensacola, Florida honored him as an Honorary Citizen, a testament to his commitment to cross-cultural collaboration and community transformation.

In 2024 Dr. Oye added a PhD in Global Leadership & Strategic Management from Queen’s University Belfast, UK to his credentials and received an Honorary Fellowship from the African School of Diplomacy & International Relations. Under his guidance, The Prophetic Prayer Tribe—an affiliate of Transforming Church International—has grown into a global movement of intercession, breakthrough and strategic vision.

Known affectionately as Pastor Sam, he is the Founder and Lead Pastor of The Transforming Church in Abuja, Nigeria, and convener of the Prophetic Prayer Hour. At Samsung, she managed a R35 million budget, introduced Workday to the continent and laid the groundwork for long-term digital HR transformation. In her consultancy firm, Rhirando Investments & Consulting, she partnered with clients such as Telkom to design custom talent-management frameworks, and at the South African Bank Note Company she built an HR department from scratch, ensuring 100% audit compliance and founding a Data Science Academy to equip rising leaders.

An MBA graduate with distinction from the Gordon Institute of Business Science and a BSc (Hons) in Industrial Psychology and Labour Studies, Bess combines academic rigor with certifications in SAP HR, Workday and Oracle Cloud. Fluent in English, Afrikaans and several South African languages, she sits on EXCO and Remco boards, oversees multimillion-rand budgets and fosters cultures of inclusion wherever she goes.
